Small online groups for neurodivergent adults
Small 8-week telehealth groups for adults with ADHD, autistic adults and AuDHD adults.
In brief. Inner Help groups are small telehealth groups for neurodivergent adults: up to 8 people (or 10 with a support worker), eight weekly 90-minute sessions, led by a psychologist. Every group follows our own curriculum, and everyone fills in a short online questionnaire first. $399 or $480 for the 8-week program depending on the program.

How groups work
Register your interest
Tell us which group and the times that suit you. No payment and no commitment.
We confirm a start date
A group gets a start date once a facilitator is confirmed and at least 5 people have joined. We email you first.
Short online questionnaire
About five minutes, no call needed. It helps us check the group suits you and lets you tell us what makes it easier to take part.
Eight weekly sessions
90 minutes by video, the same time each week, with handouts after each session.
Why a group
Learning alongside other neurodivergent adults can make strategies easier to try and easier to keep, and it can help to be in a room, even a video room, where nobody needs anything explained. Groups also cost less per session than one-to-one support.
You do not have to talk if you would rather not. Cameras can stay off, and you can type in the chat instead. Tell us about any access needs in the online questionnaire, such as keeping your camera off, captions or preferring to type.
Who runs the groups
Every group is led by a registered psychologist on our roster, chosen for the program. Some groups also have a trained support worker who looks after the video room and the chat, and can step aside with anyone who needs a quiet word, so the session keeps going for everyone. Facilitators can be anywhere in Australia, and so can you.
Price
- Eight weekly 90-minute sessions by video
- A short online questionnaire before you start, no call needed
- Handouts after each session
- Charged once your group is confirmed
Your card is saved when you sign up and charged only once your group is confirmed. If a group does not go ahead, you can move to the next start date or get a full refund.
Ways to pay
- Privately. Most people pay for groups themselves, for the whole program, paid once the group is confirmed.
- NDIS. Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants can use their funding where the group is an eligible therapy support for them. We confirm this with you after you complete the online questionnaire.
- Medicare. Medicare rebates for group sessions by video only apply in some regional and remote areas, so most people pay privately or use NDIS funding. We will let you know after your questionnaire if a rebate applies to you.
Questions
What happens in the first session?
It starts with a short welcome: who is running the group, what the eight weeks cover, and how the video room works. You will not be asked to speak, and nobody has to share anything. Cameras can stay off, and you can type in the chat or simply listen. If you would like to, you can say or type your first name. Skipping is completely fine. Before the first session we also email you the link, a quick guide to the video room and what to expect, so there are no surprises.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No, except for Just Diagnosed: ADHD, which is for people with a recent diagnosis from a clinician. Self-identified adults are welcome in the other groups.
What if I miss a session?
You get the handout and a short summary by email. Missed sessions are not refunded, but you can ask to finish the remaining modules in a later group.
Can I do a group and one-to-one support at the same time?
Yes. Many people do both. Tell us in the online questionnaire and we can help you get matched.
Will other people see my details?
Others in the group see the first name and video you choose to share. We ask everyone to keep what is said in the group private, and we never record group sessions.
What if a group is not right for me?
The online questionnaire helps us check that before you start. If it is not the right fit, we will suggest another group or one-to-one support instead.
Is this a crisis service?
No. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For 24-hour support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Not a crisis service. Groups are not a crisis service and are not monitored between sessions. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For 24-hour support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467.
Be first to hear when a group starts
No payment now and no commitment. We email you with the start date once a facilitator is confirmed and enough people have joined.
